Technical Data Information

DHK1600 series is a high concentration of fluorinated water/oil repellent finishing agent for textiles. It provides an excellent water and oil repellent property to various types of textiles.

1. Performance Features

-- Imparts excellent durable water/oil repellency to nearly all types of textiles.

-- With better stability, compatible with other textile finishing additives.

-- Non-flammable

-- APEO (alkyphenol polyethoxylates) free

-- Do not contain affect the environment suspicious objects PFOA, PFOS (less than in the detection limit)

2. Typical properties

--Appearance: Off white or pale yellow emulsion

--Ionic characteristics: Cationic

--PH: 2.0-5.0 (Acidic)

--Specific gravity at 20°C: Approx. 1.1

--Solubility: Readily dissolves in cold water

3. Usage

--Normally applied to padding method.

--The standard concentration is as following:

General water/oil repellent finish (Wet Pickup 30 to 100%)
DHK 1600:	5 to 30g/L
Permanent water/oil repellent finish (Wet Pickup 30-100%)
DHK 1600:		5-30g/L
Blocked isocyanate cross-linking agent:		5-15g/L
Note: the ratio of concentration differs based on fiber material and the purpose.

--Standard processing conditions

Drying condition: 100-120 °C (212 to 248 F), for 1 to 3 minutes

Curing condition: 150-170 °C (302 to 338 F), for 1 to 3 minutes

(The conditions may differ based on the texture of the fabric and wet-pickup rate.

4. Precautions for use

--In general, a fluorinated finishing agent has deeper color effects. Confirmation of the color tone is recommended.

--DHK1600 series can be used in combination with other additives such as an autistatic agent, a softener and a penerating agent. Water/Oil repellency should be reconfirmed after each component is added to the mixture. In case of mixing additives into the solution, dilute each additives at least by 30 to 50%.

--DHK1600 series with water below 40°C. Keep the solution temperature below 40°C.

--Stir well before using.

--Adjust the PH of the solution to be slightly acldic below 7. The performance of DHK1600 series may be affected by the following bath conditions: strong acidity and alkalinity.

--The mixed solution must be used immediately after its mixing process.

--To obtain the best performance, fully wash off hydrophilic substances or ionic substances brought from any previous process.

5. Precautions for handling

--When handling, wear appropriate personal protective equipment. --Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.

--Do not breathe vapors or mist. Use only with adequate ventilation.

--Store the product in an air-tight container at a temperature between 0 to 35 °C.
